A Few of Our Favorite Agency Projects in 2020
This year has been unlike any other. From trade show cancellations to public relations crises, we’ve rolled with the punches that 2020 threw and wanted to highlight some of the exciting things we’ve worked on this year, even during a global pandemic. Our team breaks down 10 of our favorite projects.
Hershey
National Hot Chocolate Day in Times Square
When Hershey’s Chocolate World in Times Square was looking for a fun way to get the word out about their Melted Hot Chocolate, our team had the solution—a local PR activation on National Hot Chocolate Day! Our team led all efforts for this event, including the VIP invitation, on-site photography, and earned media and influencer outreach. Talk about a sweet way to kick off 2020!
The Center for Women and Families
Domestic Violence Awareness Month
As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, our client, The Center for Women and Families, wanted to show Love in a New Light and raise awareness through several virtual events that domestic violence is not love. From lighting local landmarks and businesses purple, to coordinating a virtual concert with well-known Louisville musicians, the nonprofit organization wanted to find a way to shine a light on the impact that domestic violence has had on so many in our community. We were proud to be involved in this initiative, helping with the creative work, photography, social media, event activation and public relations efforts for The Center.
Amplify
Expo West Trade Show
Expo West is a major trade show that happens annually, and as PriceWeber prepared to hit the road to California to help promote our client, Amplify Snack Brands, COVID-19 hit, throwing all plans out the window. Days before the event, COVID-19 began to make news in the United States in a big way and the decision was made to cancel the trade show. PriceWeber jumped into action, quickly taking all public relations efforts and leveraging them in a virtual way. Public relations was not only very important for handling this crisis situation, but also making sure the client still saw results in a new, virtual way, like this mention from Convenience Store Products.
CHI Saint Joseph Health
COVID crisis and PR for healthcare
While it was a busy year for Public Relations, this was especially true in the health care field. When COVID-19 began, our client, CHI Saint Joseph Health, jumped into action to keep both community members and local media members updated on local policy changes, telehealth services, restrictions, and the impact of the virus. Our Public Relations team jumped in to assist, drafting press releases, editorials, social media posts and pitching opportunities with physicians in a new way—virtually. Crisis communications was especially important during this time and our team was proud to jump in during this historic time to be a liaison between the health care system and media across Kentucky. Make it Gold Campaign
Pop the bubbly – whenever, wherever! Our team developed the KORBEL California Champaign national marketing campaign, “Make it Gold,” to inspire people to enjoy the everyday – no formal occasion necessary. From insights and strategy to visual identity and national TV spots, our team has armed this industry-leading brand with a mantra that is intended to shift perceptions about the Premium Sparkling Wine category. Don’t forget to Make It Gold today!
Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen
Branding and new website
It was all hands on deck to cook up this 2020 project. Our team of experts helped our local client, Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen, with tasty product photography, designing an eye-catching logo, and developing Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen’s new website. To get the scoop, visit https://piekitchen.com/.
Early Times
All-American Dogs Contest
Who let the dogs out? Our team was excited to get our paws on Early Times second annual contest, searching the nation for All-American dogs to be featured in next year’s calendar and on a billboard in their hometown. Through promotion strategy, vetting the dogs and owners, photography, advertising, sales promotion, public relations and social media, our team helped shed light on the stories of these courageous and hardworking furry friends. In total, we secured over 2 million coverage views nationwide.
Louisville Zoo
Halloween Ad Campaign
This year, COVID-19 changed everything – including photo and video shoots. When our team jumped in to help our wildest client, The Louisville Zoo, with an ad campaign for the Zoo’s annual Halloween party, Boo at the Zoo, we had to keep the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines in mind while still pulling off an awesome shoot. Our team was able to work together, from a distance, and create a timely message to encourage people to still throw on their Halloween costumes, but wear their mask too, and visit the Zoo!
Unity Aluminum
Branding strategy and design
Another PriceWeber favorite project this year was centered around rebranding. Our team was excited to lead the rebranding effort for our client, Unity Aluminum. From establishing a new name, to positioning and logo design, visual identity, brand standards and company website, we were proud to assist and offer our insight and branding expertise for this state-of-the-art aluminum company.
Cummins
Flex Tech website
Longtime PriceWeber client, Cummins, became aware of a shortage of diesel engine technicians and an increased demand for diesel repair work for truck dealers. To seek a solution, Cummins decided to launch a program that allows diesel engine technicians to sign up as independent contractors who can view and accept repair jobs in their area via a mobile app (basically, Uber for mechanics). That’s where we came in. Our team was able to develop the branding for the program including media, all marketing materials and an updated website.
