PriceWeber Partners With the University of Louisville To Offer Hands-On Marketing Experience for Students
PriceWeber has partnered with The Bird’s Nest, the University of Louisville’s student-led marketing agency housed in the Department of Communication. This collaboration aims to provide UofL students with invaluable hands-on experience, helping them prepare for future jobs in the marketing industry.
The partnership officially begins this year, with the first summer internship program set to kick off in the summer of 2025. Through this initiative, students involved with The Bird’s Nest will have the opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience at PriceWeber. Additionally, PriceWeber team members will serve as industry experts, providing speaking engagements and mentorship to benefit students from the Department of Communication and The Bird’s Nest.
“Our partnership with The Bird’s Nest aligns with our commitment to fostering the next generation of marketing professionals,” said Fred Davis, president and CEO, PriceWeber. “This initiative will provide students with practical experience and exposure to real-world marketing challenges while allowing our agency to tap into fresh perspectives and innovative thinking.”
The Bird’s Nest is overseen by Dr. Karen Freberg, Professor in Strategic Communication and Director of the student agency.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with PriceWeber to provide our students with such a unique and immersive learning experience,” said Dr. Freberg. “This partnership will significantly enhance the professional development of our students and strengthen the connection between academia and the marketing industry.”
The partnership with PriceWeber will offer students a comprehensive learning experience through a combination of rotational exposure, project-based learning, mentorship, training, and job placement support. Interns will rotate through various departments, including public relations, social media, digital marketing, SEO, media, content creation, and analytics, helping them develop a well-rounded skill set while identifying their areas of interest.
Additionally, interns will work on real client projects, such as developing marketing campaigns, conducting market research, and managing social media accounts, allowing them to gain practical industry experience. Each intern will also be paired with a PriceWeber mentor who will provide guidance, support, and career insights throughout the program.
