Case Study

Marsh Cabinets GRID Ordering Portal

Challenge

Marsh Cabinets, a semi-custom kitchen cabinet manufacturer that operates a chain of retail stores and an extensive dealer network throughout the eastern United States was receiving orders via phone, fax, and email, requiring significant manual effort, delays, and errors.

Solution

Marsh’s internal product team through their ERP Vendor (Friedman Corp) sought PriceWeber’s help to develop a fully custom, integrated product quoting and ordering tool within Marsh’s existing Dealer-centric Web Portal that supports 800+ dealers and more than 2,000 users. With the new system, Marsh sought to give dealers, retail associates, and sales reps a way to create quotes and submit orders with real-time pricing, configuration updates, and status updates.

Additionally, PriceWeber assisted Marsh’s internal communications team by developing support and training materials included a series of emails to users announcing the new ordering system, a registration page for dealers to express interest in the beta program, a training guide, and a training video.

Results

Despite the industry coming out of the COVID home improvement surge retracted significantly in 2023, and then again in 2024, Marsh’s sales remained steady. In the first half of 2024, they averaged over 1,200 orders per month. Additionally, Marsh has seen the total number of manual entry orders drop by 20%, and over 40% of sales volume now flowing through the online ordering system.
